Could there be something wrong even though heartbeat is ok?

I had bleeding on sunday and no bleeding today.. my ob had me come in today ad all he did was listen to the heartbeat with the fetal doppler.... I also have been monitoring the heartbeat and its been around 140 all day ( im 30 weeks)  I think I just need some reasurrance... ive been having a crampy feeling all day and I told my ob that and he told me its just me stretching ... shouldnt he be more concerned with me bleeding and then now a day later the cramping or do you think Im just being over cautious?

It might have been from work. You have to be careful not to strain yourself. Its what mostlikely cost the bleeding. Please be careful witht he heavy lifting its not good for you.

Linzola_ no he didnt do a pelvic exam.. I thought he would be nope didnt even check my urine.  all he did was push on my belly and use the fetal doppler... labor & delivery check my cervix about 3 weeks ago when I had the bright red bleeding and she said I was closed then.

Jackie- nope I havent had sex in a month b/c the last time I bled the nurse told me not to have sex for a while and I havent... I did however work the night before and where I work I lift heavy things all night long so I dont know if thats what did it or not.. my b/p at work was 149/82  it was so hot in my work place but I have been off since then ( my normal days off) and i haven't had any bleeding so Im starting to wonder if it was from work

Did you have sex before the bleeding or have an exam before the bleeding started. When I was pregnant with my son me and the hubby were having sex and it caused one of the vessels in my vagina to bust and it caused crazy bleeding but everything was ok with the baby. The doctor told me that it was ok and that after a week i could contiue to go on with my normal activities. Maybe thats what happened with you. Hope everything turns out ok for you.

Have they done a pelvic exam to see if you are dialiating?  I read in my "What to Expect" book that a light pink, light red or light brown discharge could signal dialation. I understand the Ob being worthless, my doctor never really relieves my concerns. Good Luck and def. schudle that ultrasound. Let me know!

Ha ha... you guys both live in PA.

The only thing about the ER is you're going to have to pay a lot more (unless you have MC+). Your baby's heartbeat would be affected because if the placenta were detaching it would mean less oxygen, thus a slower heartrate. The heart must stay above 100.

If you keep monitoring the HB tonight, then call in the morning, I think you'll be fine!

If you are very concerned I think that you should go to the ER and they will most likely give you an ultra sound and then they can determined if anything is wrong. You could never be too concerned as a parent. I know how you are feeling because I am 24 weeks and call my doctor for every little thing that goes wrong. Please keep us posted.

I think I will request an ultrasound tomorrow just to be sure.... this is the second time in 4 weeks Ive had bleeding and i just dont feel comfortable with my obs lack of concern.  I feel like every time any kind of little thing bothers me I call him and I feel like im bugging the nurses and my ob.. but i dont want to take any chances and when i see blood it scares me.   Wouldnt the babies heartbeat be affected if something was wrong? it has been ok all day...  i think im driving myself crazy.

If you are really scared about something being wrong, then maybe you could request an ultrasound. The placenta may have become detached or any number of things. Or the bleeding is just from an irritated cervix (rough sex or pelvic exam, etc.). NEVER worry about being over cautious. You need reassurance that your baby is okay. If something were to happen, you'd blame yourself. Request an ultrasound tomorrow!
