Hey girl I'm no one to judge you. I'm from Los Angeles California and I've been smoking weed since I was a teenager. It was pretty tuff for me to quit especially because I constantly threw up, was depressed, and couldn't sleep. Everyone deals with problems in a different way, you don't do heroin and you're not an alcoholic. Weed is completely natural, it's a plant grown from dirt. Everyone's going to throw their opinion on here instead of actually understanding and trust me you'll always get that. My doctor knows I smoked while pregnant. He knows I quit and he even drug tests me which I don't mind most doctors do and I appreciate him doing it. He was never upset understood my situation and reminded me that I could have done a lot worse things! You'll know when it's a right time to quit don't let anyone make you feel less of a mother because of how you choose to live YOUR life! I hope you start feeling better soon! You got a baby out of this ****** world we live in and it's an amazing feeling to feel them move and kick you even if it's in the Ribs! You honestly don't need to explain yourself to no one. :)

No drama has been started I promise :) we have different opinions and beliefs. Like I said I smoked up till two months ago because I wasn't able to sleep nor eat. My baby is completely healthy and weighs almost 3 lbs. I personally have friends who've smoked up to 7 months and her daughter is perfectly smart and healthy. You seem very smart and you know your limits. You know what's best for yourself and that's all that matters. Your baby will be just fine and try not to stress I know depression really ***** I was depressed the first 3 months of my pregnancy and it's really hard to cope with and talking to people sometimes doesn't help. But you and your baby are healthy and that's all that matters :)

I do NOT smoke tobacco I only smoke when its hard to sleep, or i just cant stop thinking bout negative things.. I will eventually stop i have 2 months to get clean. Also my diet is very healthy. i take my prenatals every night. But this is temporary i dont do it every day ladies..

She simply states she's depressed. Not everyone copes with stress and depression the same. And I highly doubt she's rolling up a blunt and smoking it to her self. Which is why I originally stated that smoking out of a glass pipe or bong does absolutely no harm. She never said she smokes constantly. So there's no reason to give her more stress about smoking a little bit of weed to relax her self. And yes depression is a medical issue that can cause more harm to her baby than a small bowl of marijuana.

People talk about nausea, pain, and headaches on here and constantly resort to Nausea medicine or extra strength Tylenol. Which clearly states on the bottle to ask your doctor about when pregnant meaning one doctor could say it's fine and another doctor could say I don't want you taking any meds other than prenatal. And I for one believe marijuana is a lot safer than both Tylenol and nausea pills.

My point is everyone has the right to handle their depression in stress in other ways. Once again I doubt she's smoking a fat joint or blunt. And I doubt she's going to smoke up to her ninth month. Believe it or not smoking marijuana while pregnant is just as safe as taking tums while pregnant.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that's mine. I come from California where weed is a natural grown plant. Other people from other states might completely disagree do to false information or how they were raised. But once again there are no known birth defects from smoking marijuana.

I'm not arguing with you, and how on earth do you know how educated I am on things, I am very aware of its benefits for those who need it and not once did I say other wise. She said nothing about using it for medical reasons, (she also said she knows she's needs to stop which means more than likely it's because it's something she does out of choice rather than needs to) just as she didn't state whether she uses it with tobacco or not. If you don't need it for medical reasons why bother? Especially if you use with tobacco and therefore can cause harm to your baby?

I said if she were to decide to smoke till the day of. Meaning the day before she gave birth which is obviously never intended to do. And yes if you smoke weed from a blunt wrap a joint that does carry tobacco which is why I said out of a pipe or bong. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion but I find it ridiculous that you're telling someone a natural herb is going to hurt there baby. You honestly have noooo idea what you're taking about. Do your research go read about it and then try to debate with me because you honestly have no idea what you're talking about. I'm really not here to argue with anyone over a plant that hasn't done any harm to a single thing or person. Agree to disagree. Ha

I find it ridiculous that you defend something that you also admit can cause low birth weight, and still claim it does no damage? Low birth weight can have serious consequences and other health issues related to it. One simple example is that baby won't be able to regulate their own temperature and have to spend time in NICU, personally I feel that if you make a decision that can result in your baby needing special care that's not a 'completely harmless' thing to do. Also she hasn't said she does it for medical purposes so that's not a valid excuse. Alot of people smoke weed with tobacco which can also cause preterm labour and low birth weight etc. So there can be side effects (that you have admitted to yourself).

How can weed hurt your baby? Please explain. There are no facts that weed has hurt anyone. It's a plant. A medication. If weed were to hurt people then god damn most our parents would be "dead" at birth or retarded in the 70s! That's just so ridiculous please do your research on medical marijuana. If she decided to smoke till the day she gave birth then her baby could have a low birth weight but no her baby would not die nor have any issues. People sit and think it's okay to take medicine like Zofran and other nausea medicines that have major side effects but God forbid she smokes a plant and something happens to her baby. If marijuana was such a destroying drug then cancer patients, people with mental illnesses, a kid who has seizures up to ten times a day would all be dead. Yes a parent gives her kid cannabis oil for his seizures hasn't had a seizure yet and that's a horrible drug! Do your research.

Weed CAN hurt the baby. It is possible but it is highly unlikely. Talk to your dr about depression they can help!

My friend smoked up to her 7 month and her baby so completely healthy. I smoked up to my 20th week because of morning sickness and literally was the only thing that helped me eat or sleep, and I'm 29 weeks and my son is completely fine. Her friend was obviously doing more than smoking weed.

Okay I'm sorry but I'm calling BS on both of those replies, weed will NOT kill your baby. Weed has never killed anyone, cancer patients use it. I'm not saying it's the way to go but it will not hurt your baby. The only problem is that it stays in your babies system up to 3 months so some states drug test babies at birth. Please don't let people judge you. Just try not to smoke so much and if you do make sure it's out of a pipe and not like a blunt.

U really need to stop smoking weed.. That is so bad for the baby. Talk to Ur dr about feeling depressed. The only thing that helps me is working out. It helps boost Ur endorphins making u feel happy. I wake up everyday at 6 am to do a home prenatal DVD. It's 30 mins long. Then at 7am my 7 year old wakes up & so does my 19 month old. I'm now 37 wks prego & have been working out this whole time. It will help u in so many ways.
