Desperate to breastfeed

I had my baby 5 days ago and my milk still hasn't come in.. What can I do to produce milk. I'm feeding her half breast half bottle because the colostrum isn't enough anymore.

Ohh yeah, very normal. The first week or so my daughter was literally eating every half an hour, even if a tablespoon comes out while you're pumping, pump for at least 5 minutes after the last drop, it still sends the signal that you need to produce more. I've been drinking mothers milk tea during growth spurts, it's TERRIBLE!!!! It literally tastes like grass, and I really didn't notice an increase at all, but you're supposed to drink 3-5 glasses a day, and that's just not realistic for me because it was terrible, I could barely get down one glass.

I had that problem with both my children in the past.. I've heard good things about mothers milk tea, so definitely going to try breastfeeding drinking that tea and pumping right after he's done will help...
Try calling wic they have lactation consultants also

Try the mothers milk tea. You can get it from the health food section of your grocery store. I've never tried it but I heard it does work

Yea. I used to BF every 20 minutes with my son. Breast milk digests easier so it goes through the body quicker.

Yes I have the tommee tippe closer to nature bottles and the bottle is wider and actually looks like my nipple. I tried pumping also but nothing but colostrum would come and just like a tablespoon of it. She is to the point where she wants to breast feed and she latches on fine it's just it's not enough for example if I bf her like an a hour later she crying again and I have to bf her again is that normal?

Also, doing skin to skin BF'ing like Juju_lijahmommy said is a great way to encourage more milk

The best thing to do is to stop supplementing and continue putting her to the breast. When you supplement and don't BF then it's not telling your body to produce more. If your baby is crying constantly, you need to pump when you feed her formula so your body is told to produce more.Pump every hour, even every half an hour, for about 10-15 minutes each breast. Sometimes it takes women a little longer for milk to come in, try not to stress about it because stress will cause a decrease in production as well. If you're feeding her bottles, try getting the kind that mimic a real nipple, because she may notice a bottle is easier and not want to latch after. Good luck!!

You can pump every twenty to thirty minutes for a day maybe two and that will get up your supply.  But you should seriously talk to a lactation consultant because that happened with me and the baby wasn't latching on r right. Once we fixed that everything was perfect! Good luck!
