Diabetic meter?

I got my meter a couple days ago and it seemed to be giving me accurate readings but now it's giving me numbers like 38 or 53 and that's obviously not right.. I have to prick myself like four times for one reading to get a result that seems like it might be accurate but I had no idea if that's what it really is. Does anyone else have this problem?

There are supposed to be two bottles one that is high and one that is low. It test the accuracy of the meter. When you do test, do you wipe off the alcohol so your finger is dry? If alcohol is still there it gives you a false reading. You never use the first drop of blood either. You wipe off the first and use the second.

Call your doctor it could be a problem with the meter. It shouldn't take that many times.

With my package I got the actual meter, the device that pricks you, a vile of test strips and a package of needles... What is the solution?

It should have come with a test solution so you could check its accuracy.

I have to test for times a day. Once when I wake up and once after each meal

How often do youtest?  Sometimes i get wierd numbers (not that low tho) but whenbi do i turn it off wait five mins and redo the reading. If u keep gettin those numbers id say something to ur doctor or wherever u got the meter maybe its a malfunctioning one
