swollen and aching

I've been getting the green discharge for ages now. Yesterday i seemed to have alot more then normal and heaps of braxton hicks down below. last night i woke up balling my eyes out cause my vagina has swelled to the max and is so sore. i feel like ripping myself apart and its uncomfortable to move with how big its gotten. the only bit of relief i get is standing in shower running warm water on it but the moment i get out im in agony again. i ended up having to sit on an icepack for an hour before i could get back to sleep. has anyone else had this before??

you may also have varocos(sp) veins on your vagiina, and that could be one reason for the swelling as well, keep up with the ice packs to help with the swelling if and when you need to

Well just an update.... i got checked today and my midwife thought my waters had broke and sent me to birthing suite. i was so scared cause its too early but thankfully all is ok. the green discharge is just thrush like they told me months ago and once again there is not alot they can do. Glad to be home again

That's a good idea. I'll bet they will be more attentive in the hospital. Its always best to be safe. I think Ur doctor should have checked it out better and took a swab. When I was pregnant with my daughter 9 years ago I would get re occurring yeast infections and they weren't ever the way u describe Ur symptoms. Hope all is well and u get some relief.

I've had this green discharge for so long (months and months) and drs keeps saying just use cream for thrush but it wont go away. getting really bad braxton hicks down there again and a very slight leaking of fluid. gonna go to hospital soon to get checked cause atleast if they do more tests i will get the results back quicker then at a gp.

Green is worse than a yeast infection. Yeast infections will give u a thick white lumpy discharge that itches. And is mostly harmless to u and the baby. Just a case of thrush. A vaginal infection can get to Ur uterus and baby. Cause u to have early labour, vision and lung problems.

Green discharge could be yeast infection! Go check it out, so they can prescrribe something to u before u deliver....

If Ur having green discharge and Ur vag area is swollen Im gonna say u have a vaginal infection. U shouldn't have green discharge or swelling. That is NOT a normal thing in pregnancy at all. I would go to Ur doctor and get checked out. Infections can cause preterm labour and some pretty serious health risks to a unborn baby.

Thanks :) I have 5 wks left and honestly cannot wait. this is my third pregnancy and by far the hardest. im just so sore. My first two other then some morning sickness were a breeze and i never understood when women would complain but i can now definitely sympathise with them. How far along are you? I'm having sharp pain around my vaginal area. And I am 32w5d. I also get braxton hicks contractions. Extremely hard for me to get up or to roll over! The only relief I can get is if I lay down on my side. Ice packs or warm water doesn't help. Just a few more weeks of pain! Good luck!
