shaving

Did anyone attempt to shave whilst in early labor/labor? I am hoping I will be able to. I use to get waxed but god dammm that hurts now, like a non pregnant lady wouldnt understand. Haha so do I have any hope of preparing myself before hand if it isnt already done?

I am not bothered, if I have time (long labor) or early signs of labor I will. I shave all the time as it is but like I said I am only 23weeks anything could happen. But if I am in the right state of mind I will take that time, for myself. But I have alot of time for change, I was just seeing how others were going about it. (:

They recommend that you don't shave before labor, incase you end up having a c section. Ad it can cause an infection

Pathetic? Hardly. I could not care less if the doctor has seen it all before, I will be doing it soley for myself. Not that it matters, what spend my energy doing. Lol I cant stand hair, it is irritating and becomes sore if it is to itchy. And if I would like that to be the last bit of dignity that I have in the delivery room then man oh man I will spend two hours making it look good :-) thankyou!

Imani2345. Its not silly & its for comfort for peoples own bodies I'm sure their not worried abt drs seeing them . its just feeling comfortable with yur body . hair irritates some people or their skin. I had to start shaving at 9 (when I got my period) cuss I would break out from the hair rubbing on me & it would be very uncomfortable for me

This is so silly..  how pathetic. Do you seriously think trained doctors, who have seen every bit of the human anatomy, are going to care if you have hair on your vagina?! Why not spend all this energy on something more important.

@baybeelove1214 I've never thought of it growing back if they have to stitch ! Ah ): but I mean if they stitch it's usually not where a lot of hair is anyways but I think it'd be worse being stitched with hair. But I'm guna be trying Nair soon I've used it like 5 years ago on my legs & it gave me a burn! So I wana try the Nair since I can still see over my belly a bit just so I can see what I'm doing&stuff so I can put it on when I get bigger lol.

I hope at that point in time I can still bend over and shave, but I'm 20+6 and it's already a pain in the ***. I don't trust my hubby shaving me but I might as well start trusting him because by the looks of it, he's gonna be the one doing it from now on lol I'm also very afraid of shaving when going into labor because what if they stitch me and it's painful when growing back and itchy lol

Well my bf doesnt actually "shave" it. He uses my trim style razor and trimmer which i buy at walmart. And its less scary than shaving it. I think, or maybe you can even use that yourself.

My partner would love to shave for me, but I see his face after he shaved so I think I will do it myself. I am only 23 weeks so plenty of time to try different things. But I definitley do not want to go in there with a jungle looking vagina. It is about to be destroyed, might make it look pretty for the last time! Lol. I used nair and it didnt like fall out I had to pull it and was a massive headfk. But I will try again for a little longer. Thanks ladies :-)

I find shaving to be such a pain anymore because I can't see what I'm doing. I also don't want to go in all hairy, I try to get my bd to do it for me but he went. Try using a mirror.
