I've been having a ton of cramps, contractions, etc, and I have barely dilated at all. :/ there really isn't an indicator, but I think losing your mucus plug towards the end is a really good sign

No you dont feel when your dilated. I had my check up today and they checked my cervix for the 1st time,I'm almost 37 weeks and I'm 2cm dilated and 80% thinned out. Had no idea! Just have had lightening alot lately, didn't think I'd be dilated because I've had no contractions what so ever but that doesn't matter

Not sure, but if you get contractions 5mins apart for an hour that last 1minute each, then baby is on the way :-) im a ftm at 30 weeks so im still unsure how the last few weeks go.
