Would that cause WBC in urine too?
Sounds like yeast to me. Don't forget that there are OTC meds for this if you get desperate.
So I thought I'd update a little. Since I posted this last the discharge increased by a lot, and I've also started to get pain and itching. It's just really red and irritated. I think the discharge is the worst though. I've tried to ask my mom, grandma and aunts but none of them have had it before.
This might sound super nasty, but I got a small mirror and decided to look inside, and the inside has white splotches everywhere. Is it yeast? I have a doctors appointment for Monday, so I'll find out for sure then.
Well the Nitrate was negative. I only showed trace amounts of leukocytes. I just don't want to even chance getting another one again, so I'm going to call first thing in the morning. Thank you everyone for the help!!
If there I trace amount of WBC in ur urine it sounds like the start to a UTI I know in the lab we call a possible UTI WHEN we a urine test come up with a trace WBC or more and trace bacteria or nitrite pos (that's something bacteria cause to be positive in a urine ) I would just have ur dr recheck u again just to keep u from getting really sick again good luck
Good luck, if it is another uti/kidney infection hopefully you'll catch it sooner and can treat it BEFORE it gets as bad as last time.
I retested this morning and it's still showing trace WBC. I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow and see what it says.
It def. sound like a UTI!!!!
My urine was cloudy when I had my UTI before.. i thought it was related to pregnancy at the time
Of course, this pregnancy, I have had a lotion white discharge the whole time and cloudy urine at others.... but when I asked my doctor to test me for UTI nothing came up... I know you said your not pregnant but these things drive me mad....
but yeah cloudy urine can definitely be a sign of a UTI
I had bacterial vaginosis that gave me lots of white creamy discharge, and it smelled funny. You have to request to be tested for it though.
yeap i think is infection. ive always heard if its odorless is not to worry about, but you say it has a smell...
Oh. And my urine is cloudy. I don't know if that means anything either.
Hmmm..well I know they're common while pregnant. I never had one before this, so I have no clue. Maybe I could just post here and hope for answers?
Basically, I've been urinating a lot more than "typical" though I also drink obscene amounts of water daily so it's not surprising. I usually feel like I have to urinate, but when I go I can't. I haven't that the majority of my life, so I never really pay it any attention but I can't help but wonder if it means something. I've also been getting pain where my kidneys are, and nausea daily. (though I've had that for months on end, so it's nothing new)
Ahh, Ashelen is right. Antibiotics can def trigger a yeast infection and I assume you have been on your share of those lately.
I don't know if there is a UTI forum but even if there is, it may not get much traffic...especially this weekend :(
It is possible. I've just never noticed it in the past. Or maybe I'm just not very observant. It's very possible. :) It's been almost a month since I weaned Kylie, so I would think I would be getting it sometime soon. Not too sure.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, haha. It wouldn't be the first time. Does anyone know if there's a forum for UTI's? I have a few things, and they might be able to help a little more too. I've had some of them my entire life, but for all I know it might be indicative of something else.
To throw a monkey wrench in, I've had MANY yeast infections (mostly because I've used antibiotics so many times) and for me it's never been cottage cheesy...it's always been creamy and white or creamy and yellow. So I would say use a test you pick up at the pharmacy and you can figure it out that way....I've never gotten a discharge with a UTI, so I wouldn't guess it's that, but your urine CAN show elevated white blood cells when you have a yeast infection because the systems are so closely affected by each other.
But I also agree that it could be your AF coming back!
I would def retest in the morning as well. I know you got SUPER sick and I understand your worry there. Like GA said, you might have all kinds of funny things going on with your body trying to get back to normal after you terrible illness and the stopping of breastfeeding.
I guess you are right. I guess it is more of a cottage cheese consistency when it's a yeast infection. If it turns into that type of discharge and you get the other symptoms I mentioned, you can get OTC meds at the store.
I've gotten creamy white discharge at various times during my cycles...couldn't tell you specifically when tho, it could be signally the return of your AF since you recently stopped breastfeeding.
I think I'm just terrified of another UTI. My last one didn't show any symptoms until I started vomiting non-stop, and I have no idea what it might entail. I took a urine test and it showed trace amounts of leukocytes in my urine. I'm going to retest in the morning since it was during the day.
I thought a yeast infection was cottage cheesy like discharge.
You could be getting your first yeast infection. Although, you will def know soon enough, because it will have a foul odor accompanied w/ itching and burning. Other than that, it can occur during random times during your cycle and not really mean much of anything. I would just watch it and see if you get any other symptoms.
