Do strong Braxton Hicks mean Ill be going into labor soon?!

I was hospitalized yesterday for having contractions at 31 weeks & 4 days. After no dialation yesterday when they checked me or this morning, they said it was just stong braxton hicks and sent me home with medicine to keep the contractions away, because it is tooo early for any of that! I was suprised to feel pain with Braxton HIcks so early. Could this mean labor may be sooner than I expected? I havent lost my plug or has any unusual discharge, no blood or anything, just the contractions. Thanksss!

I would definitely put it on hold. Maybe ask a friend or relative (or the husband) to do it for you? It's a lot more important that you don't push yourself, especially if you're at risk of preterm labour. Make sure you also follow the no sex guidelines---this includes all forms of sex. (Sorry if I'm repeating anything they might have said) An orgasm by definition is a contraction, and if you have one it's possible to send you back into labour or into labour if you weren't already.

Thanks, they told me no strenuous activites, heavy house work etc. including vaccuming and definatley no sex. I really need to go grocery shopping today but I think it may be too soon to go for a walk around walmart.

I don't think so. I know many women who had pain with BH and still went to their due date or beyond. A girl I know (she was induced at 41+ weeks) had BH from 26 weeks till labour and KNEW she was going to go early. Needless to say she was wrong. However, it can also turn out that you will. Pregnancy is so fickle, it's impossible to give a definitive answer. I'd take the medicine they gave you as instructed, and try to take it easy for the next 8 weeks.
