Doctor says I should be fine....but....

To start, I'm only 15 weeks.....but there was no forum for under 18! Anyways, on Sunday I was handling my horses and my mare got jealous when a gelding approached me and she struck out with her front right hoof. Unfortunately, I was nailed in my lower left pelvic area instead of her target. My doctor and a nurse at the office said its too early for a mild trauma like that to cause any damage when I called on Sunday and then again today. I have normal cramps and no bleeding....but I'm super paranoid! Has anyone else experienced anything like this and have a story to help ease my nerves? Thanks!

Thanks ladies. :) I think I'm ok....just very nervous. And yes....Ivy was in heat and DID NOT like the gelding that approached us...apparently. lol. She's not normally like that.

I would recvomend just keeping an eye on your body. You know best what normal feels like for you. And if the cramping were to get really bad, or your bleeding, def. go and get checked out. Darn hormonal mares lol. Im more of a gelding fan myself for that very reason...cant tell you how many times ive been kicked by mistake cause a mare didnt like another horse...good luck girl, sounds like your doing fine though.

I too have been hit in my lower abdomen, multiple times early in my pregnancy working with dogs. Everything is fine and i'm now 30weeks along. If you start to bleed or have really severe cramping, I would agree with the other poster, to go to the ER.

The forum is for ages not pregnancy weeks lol but iv never had anything like that happen. Did you get an ultrasound done to check on the baby? As long as your not bleeding you should be ok. If your cramps get worse id go to the er to be sure. I also have horses but haven't messed with them cuz there's always a chance of getting hurt.
