Does anyone know?

Hello everyone.

I have a question and hoping someone could shed some light.

I'm going for a pelvic ultrasound on Oct 9th. My doctor ordered one because we've been TTC for 14 months with no luck. I'm assuming it's to check and see if there's any cause for my infertility.

Maybe I'm being paranoid (perhaps very possible), but I'm afraid they're going to find some ovarian cysts, or something like that.

If that is the case, would this be a cause for infertility? Are they treatable? Curable? Will it require surgery? I realize I'm probably scaring myself half to death, but I guess I'm preparing myself if that's what I hear.

If anyone has any answers, that would be great. Thanks :)

In some cases cysts can cause troubles conceiving, such as PCOS which is Polycystic ovary syndrome. Other times they do NOT cause problems. It really just depends on a lot of factors. Is your doctor also going to check all your hormone levels to make sure they're as they should be?

I've had a few ovarian cysts, on both ovaries, and I'm 19 weeks prego with our 2nd child, so no, ovarian cysts don't mean infertility. I wish you the best!!
