Does it hurt?!?

Does it hurt when the doctor check for dilation? I'm 37 wks and my dr told me they will check next week if I want them too and she was kind if hinting at pain.

Both pregnancies for me when they checked/check me , it hurts a lot and very uncomfortable . Simply cause my cervix is in a weird spot and very high up . It was very high up when I got induced my last pregnancy . And is still high up with this one . Also , I'm very tight down there so that could also be a reason why it hurts lol . I didn't have my son normal , had him by csection last pregnancy .

My dr. just checked me today. It didn't hurt...  But just like he warned me, it was a lot of pressure. You definitely feel comfortable. And I think because I was nervous at first, it magnified the pressure, But it's all in my head. I just took a deep breath and feel much better.

I'm 32 weeks and at like 29 weeks I was in the hospital due to stress and I was leaking. They checked my cervix to see if I had any dilation and it didn't hurt at all. I was more uncomfortable because I was nervous .

If they do it right, it shouldn't really hurt, there will just be pressure. When my doctor checked me when I was almost 37 weeks I didn't feel anything until he checked for dilation and that was only because my cervix was really high.

No. It's just some pressure down there.  It didn't hurt for me anyways.

Not terribly but it isn't a nice feeling. Idk mine could've just been so bad since i was experiencing contractions at the time, but it's nothing compared to labor lol
