What is it about pregnancy that attracts dogs? Before my pregnancy, my dog would only come in my room to sniff around and go back out. Now she comes in and sleeps in my bed literally every night. What is it lol

I feel like my dog will be jealous though instead of protective. She gets jealous. I hope she does end up overprotective though lol. I wouldn't mind.

My dog in the beginning of my pregnancy wouldn't come near me but knew I was pregnant cause he would constantly sniff.  Now that my daughter is born he is super. Protective of her.  Whenever she coughs he gets up right away to check up on her.

My dogs won't come anywhere near me and I'm 33 weeks pregnant my cat on the other hand is practically glued to me he won't leave me alone

I read that dogs can sense pregancy before humans. They hear the baby's heartbeat.

It's the need to protect. They know you are having a baby so they want to protect you and your baby. It gets worst once the baby is here. My dog is way protective of my daughter.

My dog is the exact same way. They can sense the baby and are more protective over their owner.. I cant even go pee without my dog crying to come in with me lol.
