Pump and dump is not gonna help and the teat strips are a waste of money. Alcohol metabolizes through your breast milk at the same rate that it metabolizes in your blood. Meaning if you have one drink, regardless of how much you pump and dump it'll still take about an hour for your body to fully metabolize the alcohol. With that being said the concentration of alcohol in your breast milk also reflects that of your blood. So if you have one drink your breast milk won't contain the same amount of alcohol as the drink, it'll contain the same amount of alcohol at your blood, which for an average sized person would be about 0.04%, so technically even after one drink it's still safe to breastfeed right away

You should buy some alcohol test strips, they sell then at walmart. That way even after you pump and dump you can still check to make sure there isn't any alcohol in the breast milk.
