I'm the same way. I wouldn't dear deal with my son after drinking caffeine then nursing. He was already a wired little guy.
Yes you can, just not too much. I definitely don't recommend energy drinks, but soda, coffee, and tea within limits.
ha ha, it IS hard to give up these small things that we don't realize are 'luxuries' until we are pregnant! Luckily it is only 9 months although I didn't resume the caffeine until I was done nursing. But it is ALL worth it, :<)
I drank some for the first time since I got pregnant. Your only supposed to have like 200. That like a can and a half. I had a Dr pepper freeze from taco bell. Only had it once not bad and ice coffee a couple weeks ago used to drink it litterally all day ago no energy drinks before I got pregnant. It's the only way I made it through nursing school so far. LOL
Actually, not to be disagreeable but I do know that you are to limit your caffeine intake when pregnant. I eliminated it completely because I didn't like the things that you read and doctors typically give very clear guidelines to their patients. My doctor says no more than two 12 oz drinks (two cans basically) and some others here have been told less than that.
Luck to the poster. Pregnancy is a great sacrifice from our normal life for sure!
Even tho soda does have alot of caffeine in it...it is okay for u to drink soda and as much as u want AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT DIABETIC, I drink lots of soda ....definitely more then one can a day and my babies turned out fine girly=)
I wouldn't drink any more than 1/2 a can a week
That is a great question for your doctor for what your specific ob recommends. My ob told me two pops a day is fine. But that was my own doctor's advice. I did give up caffeine when pregnant though. I had things like an occasional root beer when I was craving it/ caffeine free. But my sister had a coke every day. good luck
Also the high f4uctose corn syrup, very bad for baby so if u drink it..... just a tiny bit.
Be careful with soda or anything with caffeine. Wouldnt drink more then 1 can per day.
