Chiropractor while pregnant?

I'm 14 wks (kid #2) and work in a factory lifting 10 - 20lb frames (i make the seats for honda cars) for 8 hours a day.  I've noticed my upper back its getting awful sore and locked up d/t my posture slowly changing and having to reach over my machines differently (darn belly lol). I've never been to a chiropractor in my life, but can I go while pregnant?  I think it would help immensely, but I've never considered it before.

The chiropractor is a great idea!  I love mine!  I saw him throughout my last pregnancy with my now 3 year old.  I did not see the chiropractor with my 9 year.  Because my spine was aligned with my daughter my labor was dramatically shorter and pushing much easier!  2 hours pushing with my son and 3 pushes total with my daughter!  Our whole family is a chiropractic family now.  My daughter had her first adjustment at 4 days old and still continues to go.  It helped her with colic too when she was little.  I've been going throughout this pregnancy as well and I'm currently 34 weeks.  It helps with neck and backaches, headaches, indigestion...so many things without having to use as many pills to treat them.  Also this baby was breech and my doctor said she was giving me till 36 weeks for her to turn a week ago or we would have to talk csection.  My chiropractor use a certain technique that had nothing to do with touching or pulling on my stomach along with a simple acupuncture point and got her to turn in the correct position in only 2 adjustments.  I was thrilled about that.  I saw my Ob today and she was quite pleased.  Anyway- I get really excited about this subject cause I know it's helped me so much!  I don't think ibcould survive pregnancy without it.  And do becareful at work- they have you doing quite a bit!

Lol there's no such thing as "light duty" at my work.  They'll just put me on the easiest machine. :-)  o

Yes you can definitely go but do tell them. I would also see if for the time being while you are pregnant see if your workplace will switch you maybe "lighter duty" or something that will take the pressure off of your back. Once your belly gets bigger...it will be a lot more difficult. Depending where you live you probably have that right as a pregnant woman.

Awesome lol my boyfriend can sometimes crack it, but it's getting harder for him to do.  He's afraid he's going to hurt the baby lol!

Absolutely! Just make sure they know you're pregnant so they avoid triggering certain pressure points, but you certainly can. I have an appointment to see a chiropracter on December 19th and I'm currently 23wks pregnant with baby #3 :-).
