I keep have menstrual like cramps they keep coming and going .... Am I in labor

Hi there.  Well, every woman is different.  I've heard some women have back pain as a sign they are in labor.  But for me, I had full on contractions where there was no question if I were in labor.  They came in like a vise grip in my abdomen bearing down and they came in a pattern I could time.  There wasn't any question.  I didn't know what it would be like and asked myself if I'd know if I were in labor . .  .  and I KNEW.  

But that was just my experience and again, everyone is different.  I'd try to time them as suggested and if you become concerned, call and talk to your doctor's office or doctor on call.  good luck

I had the same thing when I was in labor. I got up in the middle of the night to go pee and thought I had peed my pants! Ended up being my water breaking. Then the cramping like feeling started. Time them. It never hurts to go in and find out especially if you've already lost your mucus plug!

Time them. If they are 3-5 mins apart for an hour, you probably are. Please call your doctor, nobody here can tell you really.
