Vicks vapor rub to the neck always helped with my sore throats :-) and it's pregnancy friendly!
Thank you! I am going to try that!
Gargle warm salt water worked for me.
Doing both definitely couldn't hurt lol
I am a little apprehensive about gargling with warm salt water since I still have horrible nausea but right now I am willing to try anything, thank you!
Aw :-( being sick while pregnant is the worst is swear!
I totally agree Factorymomma it's the worst!
I had a sore throat when I got up too, along with a stuffy nose. I wish I could just have a cough drop. :( I cant fall asleep. Ahhh.
You can have cough drops :)
try any mouthwash, it'll also kill your heartburn, <3
My doctor said no to cough drops. :(
No cough drops? Weird. How about throat spray?
I dont know but I asked 3 times on the phone before we hung up. The only thing she said I can take is Robetesin and Tylenol. I havent sleep yet and its almost 6 in the morning. Blah.
I was told I can take Tylenol Head Cold. When I was very very sick my last pregnancy she let me take Mucinex but not Mucinex DM. Nothing with the "DM" is ok.
Go to web md they have a list if things u can take and can't take and its the samerhing my doctor gave me.
Someone once told me to try kiwi fruit for sore throat I laughed but was surprised that it worked for me along with a lot of rest :) hope your better soon :)
thank you all so much for your suggestions, last night I stood in my steamy bathroom, gargled with salt water, and rubbed vicks on my neck and fell asleep, I woke up feeling so much better this morning :)
If it's still bothering you, tea with honey always works for me. Not all tea is okay so I stick to peppermint tea. When it's really bad, I just take a spoonful of honey, it works like a natural cough syrup. And I've been using cough drops my entire pregnancy which my doc says is fine; I have allergies and asthma which the pregnancy makes worse so have had a sore throat for most of the past 8 months.
