Early labor signs?

Hey every one I'm a ftm and I'm wondering what some of you guys early labor signs were and how long after them did you go into labor?

With my first, I never even had braxton hicks or real contractions until the the morning of the day i gave birth, I had woken up and my husband went to a job interview, I started ny day normally and walked the dog for a few mins, I came back in and layed in bed eating peanut butter crackers, I felt a cramping like a menstrual cramp and my whole stomach tightened up at the same time, I knew immediately that it was the real thing and called the doctor office, the nurse told ne to lay down and drink water for an hour, my contractions were 6 mins apart, I called ny husband but he didn't answer since he was in an interview so I called my mom and i didn't try to wait cuz I just knew it was time, (my contractions started at 841am) so my parents took me to the hospital, I got sin touch with my husband and he met us there, when they checked me she said I was maybe 1 cm, they told ne to walk around for an hour (if it was real labor it would make it progress) after that I was about 3 cm and my water hadn't broken so the nurse broke it, they gave me the Epidural at 4cm and it slowed it down a bit so they gave me the pitocin, everything was going fine I gave birth at 756pm to Cameron, 5.4, 18.5 inches, he was early at 36 weeks and was in the nicu for 21 days but you wouldn't know it now :)

With my first I noticed my mucus plug coming out in clumps around 39 weeks. I was checked at 38 and 39 weeks and was only 1cm dilated. I was having real contractions for 4 days but not dilating. So I had to be induced at 40 weeks 2days.

This second time I thought my contractions were irregular and didn't pay them not mind. I went to the hospital in the morning and when they told me to go to the bathroom I lost my mucus plug along with a little bloody show. They checked me in the triage and I was 7-8 cm which shocked me cuz I didn't know how far along I was. I had him at 38 weeks 5 days.

You will start to feel contractions .....(stomach knots up then stops) it will become more intense and closer together .....that's when you count the minutes in between ........if they stop then its braxton hicks........or your water may break or leak .....that basically feels like you peed yourself........sometimes mucas plug unplugs first

I am also a FTM and due in 13 days so this is me bumping the question up to get some answers  :)

I'm a ftm as well...lol I don't know the answer to this so I wanted to give it a bump!!
