Sore ribs so early on ?

I'm 16 weeks and 2 days and I'm having this really bad rib pain for about 3 days now.  My sides feel swollen and hurt to touch, I have to sleep a certain way. I'm not having any lower tummy pain just a bit of back pain. This is my second and I felt this way with my first but at the end of pregnancy when my daughter was kicking my ribs so I'm a bit concerned. My mom says it's just the baby growing by in my ribs? I'd understand my lower tummy but I feel no pain whatsoever down there it's just my ribs. Has this happened to anyone else? Please ease my mind .

It's common and will go away soon. Is it under your right breast breast? That's where others had it too from posts I've seen
