Its considered high risk if its really bad like you need insulin. My was diet controlled. I still had two non stress tests a week though
I'm considered high risk and I have gestational diabetes also. It can cause complications during delivery, baby's blood sugar can drop, baby can be on the larger side and can cause breathing problems with baby. But these risks are higher if you don't manage your blood sugar levels. I'm 21 weeks and I haven't started the non-stress tests yet but it will happen.
I believe it is because it can cause your baby to be bigger, and to come early
They haven't done a stress test on me at all. Are your sugars always high with diet and walking? I know stress will shoot your sugars up.
Idk if that means high risk or not
I have gd too and I get 2 non stress tests a week
