after delivery question

How long are you super fertile for after giving birth? A couple weeks? Months? Hypothetically speaking: what if you had sex 4 weeks post partum (I know your supposed to wait 6 weeks but not all woman do) and your man goes off in you and you didn't use a condom. Would you for sure get pregnant?

Like I said this is hypothetically speaking. My hubby wants to have sex but I keep telling him we gotta wait 6 weeks and I'm super fertile. I've been satisfying him in other ways until we can have sex again. But he says the doc said wait 4 weeks (which I know he's just saying that cause he's tired of waiting lol)

Breastfeeding prolongs the amount of time before you ovulate, so I'm sure you're fine.. oh and, 5-15 minutes of Sun with your baby girl a day is enough time to take place of that supplement vitamin D you're giving her.. you're going an all natural method by breastfeeding which is healthy for her, a quick walk outside with her is sufficient enough to not have to give her the supplement drops.

I never heard of that until this time. I didn't start any birth control until my daughter was four months old. I was exclusively breastfeeding which can suppress ovulation. But it's not a foolproof method. When I started feeding her solids I started birth control. If you're breastfeeding I wouldn't be too terribly concerned but I would use a condom for sanity!
