Oh ok, so just don't binge eat and get enough protein and healthy food to baby and me, gotcha (; idk about y'all, but I have fat girl syndrome with this pregnancy, I have to say no to a lot cause if I crave it, it's sweet and fattening! :/ but for the most part,I love salads and vegetables and fruit! Third trimester is my main worry, I don't want to get huge!
I think finding healthy foods you like and that help your body feel good is what matters. I don't pay attention to how often I eat or when but I make sure that when I do I include something beneficial. I loooove fiber and fruit but that doesn't mean I won't have a cookie or pizza on occasion. Don't restrict yourself everything is OK in moderation.
For the most part when you are pregnant what you eat is more important then how much. Unless you are gaining excessive weight, focus on the nutrition (protein, vitamins, fiber, etc) not the calories. Just stay away from high sugar and high fat foods and you shouldn't have to worry too much about weight. Eating small, frequent meals is very healthy . I was always snacking when I was pregnant. Just choose healthy veggies, fruit, cheese, granola, etc.
Ugh, I'm sorry! Remember though, the more out of control your sugar is, the bigger your baby will be! I had a friend with diabetes who didn't follow the diet, and her baby was almost 12 lbs!
Is it the same as a diet like, it's not what you eat but how much you eat. So smaller, more frequent meals? Or just eat healthy and don't calorie count? I'm soo dredging weight gain :/
Due to diabetes my dr put me ina diet.. :( but me wants fat food ={
Instead eat a variety od fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meat, etc. Protein is very important, so make sure you are getting plenty of that in particular.
The biggest difference is that a "diet" involves restricting how many calories you are eating in order to lose weight. When you're pregnant, your goal is to give your baby the nutrients it needs to grow, and keep both of you healthy, including gaining a healthy amount of weight. Instead of the diet rules, focus mainly on healthy choices. Avoid highly processed foods, (junk food) and instead eat
