Gestational Diabetes

How high were your sugar levels when they determined you had gestational diabetes? Mine was 106 last time i got tested a few weeks ago still haven't seen my Dr. but this has me very worried since my family has a diabetes history just don't wanna have to deal with this

The ultrasound tech was looking at my folder and said "Oh so you have gest. Diabetes? I said I doo?  She said the doctor will talk to you &.he never did

They told me what makes it go up. Which breads, cereal,  pastas and stuff like that makes it go up. You can still eat it just do it in small portions.

Anything over 130 with your 1st test they test you again... 106 is a good level- means you dont have it... my first test was 135.... I failed both tests and have GD

Usually if you don't have family history or not overweight i think 24 weeks but since i have family history i am having to do it at 16 weeks and 24 weeks

How soon do they test for it? Im 13w4d and worried i might have it. Im always exhausted after i eat and thirsty all the time.

My doctor told me on the 1hr test as long as its under 160 you're good. But I've noticed that every place seems to be different. My friend was told under 140. But I think yours is fine.

Did they give you a specific diet? or tips on how to keep it low?

I have gestational diabetes.  And they tell me to keep my levels 120 and below. Which it is not hard to do at all.

Thanks... its just that on my lab results it said that 106 was in the pre diabetic zone so i was freaking out! lol

No, I just took the one hour test and they said I was golden.

Mine was 111 and my doc said it was normal therefore I passed.
