Planning a Shower.. ?

Hey Girlss...
I'm 23wks Pregnant nd found out I was having a girl. My question is when should I plan a baby shower and how should I go about it ? The original plan was my mother and mother in law do it but due to family problems my mother doesn't want it with my mother in law... so my husband and I decide to plan one ourselves.... ! So what do we due? And what is the cheapest way to go being that we''re tight on money ??

My sister in law told me to have mine about 3 months before the baby will be here, thats what she did with her 3 kids, it made it easier for her and the kids father to buy the other things that they needed with plenty of time to spare. So, I figure I'll have it early, but it's going to be at a park (we have lotsss of parks around here) and then we'll figure out the food stuff later. lol Most things will probably be bought at the dollar store, even wal mart has fairly cheap baby shower things. :) You can always look up ideas online and I look at pinterest a lot too. I agree with mrs.kissingmoore, I had my 1st childs baby shower right around 30weeks and i'm planning this one for right around that time too. It gives you enough time to still figure out and get everything you need before the baby comes. For my 1st shower money was also very tight and my mom made the cake herself and just bought some chips and dip, also there were a cple close family members who brought a cple plates. Decorations and supplies needed for the few games we played were bought at the 99¢ store. It was very simple and economical and turned out great! I would say if you and your husband are having the shower and can't afford (or have the resoures) to have separate showers invite both your mom and his to the shower, they should realize that the shower is for the baby and all negative feelings should be put aside. BBQ ! in the yard if you have the space or pot roast and look up games to play there cheap and simple entertainment ! Have everyone you know that will attend bring a dish or snack . and if its girls only have your man do a diaper party for his buds !then you'll have diapers ! ask for 2's and1's and if he has a lot of friends size 3 also .!!!
