Er visit

I was in horrible pain on my left side and back. I finally went to the er after two days. The er dr said I had a uti and gave me antibiotics . He said I have to be very careful cause a uti can hurt the baby. I  scared and worried. I have been to hell and back with this pregnancy. I looked online but can't find my much about a uti and hurting the baby. Does anyone know how true this is?

Its a bladder infection. As long as you are on meds now you should be fine. They are very common in pregnancy so don't be alarmed if you get more. Drink lots of water it will help. And the part that can harm baby is if it turns to a kidney infection but it shouldn't more that you are on meds. I had 2 in one month and then got a yeast infection. You can take pro biotics to help stay away from a yeast infection while you are taking the bladder infection meds. But take the full prescription even if your symptoms go away.
