Thanks hailere! My pump had reglan in it. I'm starting to feel a little better I'm sure it will take a little time for it to completely work. I really appreciate the advice!
I took zofran and my baby girl is happy and healthy. I suffered from HG as well and it was the only thing that kept me from being on a feeding tube. Sometimes you have to choose the lesser of 2 evils. After spending an average of 3 days a week for months in the hospital trying to take other meds and try other remedies I finally gave in. Do what works for you and know that this will pass eventually. I also experienced depression because I felt like such a bad mom for not being able to eat and then I felt like an even worse mom because everyone kept telling me the risks of zofran and acting like I was a horrible person. Don't let them get to you, you're the only one that really knows what you're going through. I hope you have more supportive and understanding people by your side through this experience.
The nurse just called me and I asked about that. She explained everything to me and it is a different med than zofran. Thanks for the advice on that.
The name is hyperemesis gravidarum.
I had that with my 1st an now with my 33rd I have to go in an get glucose iv's an I'm on nauseous meds always trying to have something in your stomach helps even if you can't Keep it down evetually your body will get the hint an will allow you to have it. I would seriously reconsider taking taking zofran because of the side effects my daughter was born with to pretty bad heart murmurs an I took side an with my son but very little an he was born with one as well his is healed now at the age of one but I refuse to do that to this baby knowing what happens so now I'm on a new medicine
I had the same issue. I took Phenogren, and drank gingerale. water with lemon! and eat a few crackers before you get out of bed in the morning. it helps sooooo much!
Zofran is known to cause birth defects, so it'd be very careful with taking that...
