I just found out yesterday that I'm pregnant. It is the first for hubby and I. I'm 22, and I don't know where to start. Would love someone who has the time to offer any advice?

You don't need to see your doctor right away unless you experience anything worrisome like major pain or bleeding, but definitely decide where you want to go and check into getting an appointment. How fast you get seen depends on the doctor and also on where you live. Most American docs won't want to see you before 8-10 weeks.

Make sure you start drinking more water -- your body's getting ready to make more blood and amniotic fluid. Most likely you'll be wanting to sleep about 20 hours a day, so take a break and get a nap whenever you can. :-)

It's best to schedule ur appointment asap! Most of the time they won't have u come in until u r at least 6-8 weeks but the earlier u start with ur prenatal checkups the more beneficial it will be for u and ur lo!!

Haven't seen a doctor yet - I'm very early on - only 4 weeks. Should I see one straight away, or wait a couple of weeks?

Just started taking vitamins as soon as I found out yesterday =]

Thank you!!
