not the tight forum but...

Ive asked in the breast feeding forum but got no answer.... my daughter is 4 days old and im exclusivly breast feeding. She feeds really well at night and in the morning but sleeps all afternoon! I try everything to wake her and she latches on then goes straight back to sleep after 5-10 min feeding!! Should i be worried? How do i change this so she sleeps at night?

I think you guys sound okay. As long as she is filling up whenshe does eat and filling up those diapers I would nap along with her while you can! lol

Sometimes to keep the baby awake you'll have to keep her stimulated (hard for a newborn haha) like only putting her in a onesie/diaper, or playing with her lips/cheeks, well lit room, some babies just have a feeding habit that works well for them, as long as her doctor isn't concerned I wouldn't be either!

I have bf both my boys and plan on doing it this time. I was worried my 1st time but was told if they seem satisfied and dirty lots of diapers then they new fine. Being born takes alot out of the baby so for the first week they are quite tired.
Good luck and Congrats :-)

No as long as she seems satisfied, has plenty of wet/dirty diapers its fine.  The first few weeks baby is very sleepy.  You can try waking her up by undressing her or changing her.  As far as changing her sleep pattern i never had any luck with all 3 of my kids.(all were breastfed) sounds like your doing things right.
