Congratulations! When they check your cervix they take their fingers and insert into your cervix to see if you are dilated. For example dilated to one means they can stick kne finger in, dilated tk tow means they can stick two fingers in. In labor you're ready to pushed when your are 100% effaced and dilated to 10. Effaced is how long your cervix is. Your cervix is typically 4 inches long. So for example if you're 50% effaced that means your cervix has shortened and is only 2 inches long. I was 19 when j got pregnant with my first and now I'm 25 having my 5th lol. Prgancy is an amazing gift/blessing we get as women. Just wait till labor hits and your little one is born. Your whole world will be changed and you'll feel this love for your baby that you've never felt for anyone before.
