when do you ussually get an ultrasound?

I was seeing one doctor and he was going to wait til 20-24 weeks to do an ultraspound. I switched to a midwife to test the waters at 19 weeks, she gave me an ultrasound right then. The quality of the ultrasound wasn't the worst or the best but we couldn't see the baby's features. I had to switch back to my previous obgyn due to the fact that i am having chest pains and have passed out three times. I'm now almost 26 weeks. When do you think i'll get another ultrasound?

I hope i get another soon. I've even considered lying about my little guys movement hahaha. I just want to get another ultrasound. :(

Your dr should still still schedule the anatomy scan though if they midwife didnt do that. I would just call them and ask to have hte anatomy scan and let them know it wasnt done yet. But that is normally the one that is done between like 18 and 24 weeks i think. I had lots of them though... 7 weeks due to cramping, 8 weeks for my first appt, 12 weeks for my nt scan, 12 weeks cuz my dr likes to do a second one for fun, 17 weeks for my anatomy scan, and then i had one at 31 weeks that was a bday present so it was just a 3d for fun ultraounds. But totally awesome. You might see if you can go pay to get one of those done. At least you will get to see your baby however they are not done in dr offices so they wont tell you if thee is anything wrong. But I would still ask for an anatomy scan.

I had a ultrasound at 14, 21, 27, and 37 weeks there's nothing wrong my doctor jut does an avg of 4-6 ultrasouds

Oh wow that *****. My dr does an ultrasound at each visit. I don't know why some drs don't them more often. We want to see our babies as much as possible

I was told you normally don't get another ultrasound unless you have complications, this is my second pregnancy, I had one when i first started seeing the doc then another at 20 weeks, and he told me I wouldn't have another one unless I or the baby have problems, that's how it was with my last pregnancy too.
