In rh- and they told me at my first blood draw at about 12 weeks...you would know by now if there was am issue with blood compatability. And it usually doesn't effect the 1st pregnancy unless there is a traumatic event that causes mama and baby's blood to mix.
The thing is i missed the apointment and have been trying to get to the hospital, they havent checked yet! :( im going on monday theyre closed tomorrow
If you're that far along your doctor would of given you a shot already if you were a negative blood type, either way hope everything works out for you and the little one :)
My aunt actually experienced this with her first baby. They both had different blood types so her body attacked the baby instead and she ended out having a miscarriage. :(
Im already 34 weeks!! Ill go to the doctor tomorrow, thankyou ladies
When i was pregnant with both of my boys they are A+ and I am AB- they just gave me a shot during pregnancy and if baby is the opposite of you they give you anothet shot.
Do you know what your blood type is? This usually only happens when you are Rh- (you know how some people ask if you are positive or negative? That's what it is and usually happens to people with negative blood types) if you are still early in your pregnancy they will draw blood and test for it and now a days just as a precaution (if you are a negative blood type) will give you a shot to "hide" the baby so it stays safe. I hope this helps feel free to message me if you have any more questions :)
If you have a positive blood type U don't have to worry about it. It's called an RH factor
If your body is attacking the baby because of the difference in blood the Dr can give you a shot to stop it. I don't have that problem but I have heard of it. Talk to your Dr. Gl
