Falling?

I'm 36+3 weeks and I tripped and fell I didn't hit my stomach but I did sprain my ankle real bad I'm wondering of I could have hurt the baby even though my stomach wasn't hit?

I would say call your doctor or go get checked out just to be sure...better safe than sorry

When I was pregnant, I broke my ankle.  I had a tendancy of falling down two flights of stairs on a weekly basis.  I was paranoid and I kept going to the ER.  My OB finally sat me down.  I'm not sure if he told me this to lighten my worries, or if it's factual information but he said something like, "the safest time to get run over by a car is when you're pregnant."  Granted I was a LOT earlier in my pregnancy.  If I was you personally, I would try to go in.  Ask the doctor what kinds of signs would be sure ways of knowing you need to rush in.  Always trust your gut!

Wth!? There's no safe time to get run over by a car! Your doctor must have been on crack. I'm pretty sure if a car ran over your stomach it would harm your baby. However, falling or walking into stuff does NOT harm your baby. Don't waste your time worrying about it. Your baby is nice and safe in a little bubble filled with water inside you.

Falling or walking into things can harm the baby....many women have HAD miscarriages due to this....not trying to scare her but its the truth...It's better that she get checked even if it turns out to be nothing wrong.
