Faulty Pregnancy Test?

Alright, so I took a pregnancy test at like 12:25 AM and got no results after the 3 minutes had past (First Response test) and then I checked it about 3 hours later and saw a very faint second line, like the lin didn't even go all the way down the little screen. What does this mean? I'm so scared, and I don't have access to another test right now.. What am I supposed to believe?

Still no period, but I took another test..it was negative.

Well, I've had cramps..and my nipples really hurt for like 2 days..and I had gas pains..and thats somewhat normal for my period..i just hope it comes.

doesn't matter after all this time the line wouldn't be getting darker from your urine pee drys after a few hours so there's no way its your urine making it darker i'm pregnant right now 9 weeks with my 3rd baby i took 4 pregnancy tests i kept them for about a week till the lines weren't visible anymore the lines got lighter every day not darker you can't go by what it says you could be pregnant however you won't know by this test

I already looked at it..the line seems to be getting darker?

there are always lines they change quickly if the test is not faulty and you are pregnant after that any lines you see are the test's chemicals changing the test and making the lines visible not the hcg in your urine you should go to peeonastick she has great info on all kinds of pregnancy tests

there is a reason they tell you not to read the results after a certain amount of time the results are unreliable there are so many people in the world there will always be a few who have stories like this but in most causes the results are not accurate after that long especially when the test was faulty from the beginning

if you don't get any result in 5 min then its a bad test don't go by what it says after that you should by a new test and try again

I'm just worried, because I read all this talk about evaporation lines..and like over 5 minutes nothing had happened with the test..then I go and look back around 3 and there's the little faint line..the test is still very wet though..I don't know what's going on :'(

sounds like a bad test and any result you get after the time it says in the instructions is not accurate buy dollar store test they are cheap and they work i always start with those because i don't want to waste money and they've always given me accurate results
