Feeling Dumb.. (contractions )

First Time Mommy ... I'm 38 weeks four days . In a Way I Feel Kinda Dumb towards contractions let's see how else to say this , Since I don't know how they feel like and I can tolerate pain .I believe I won't be able to know how to keep track of them and know when is the real deal. I have been feeling pain like period cramps some kinda painful but not to the extreme and tightness in the tummy . Feel Super Lost ):

Don't feel dumb! Everyone feels contractions differently. Most of the beginning of my labor I felt period-like cramps, and a strong urge to pee lol instead of sharp pain. It wasn't at all like I expected. I had trouble tracking how long they were since I didnt feel a distinct start and stop. I tracked how often I felt the peak of a "wave" and as I went on I was able to estimate time better. Even if you can't track them, you'll be able to tell things are getting consistently more intense. You can always go to labor and delivery and have them monitor them. Dont stress, you got this! Good luck!

I thought I could tolerate pain really well and I usually can, but when I had contractions I couldn't stand it I felt like someone was stabbing me!! It was definitely the worst pain I have ever felt in my whole life. The Braxton hicks that I had before them that I thought were real don't even compare to the real ones.

Good luck Hope everything goes well for you... Yeah when I went in around same time as you I was getting lots of contractions high ones I didn't feel them and at the end they had to give two shots to stop them because apparently it wasn't true labor idk.

Don't worry I know how you feel I'm going through the same situation,  I'm 37 weeks & 6 days tomorrow. I've had pressure down there & pain, but bain I can bare, not sure if contractions but I will be going in soon. Ftm too :/
