Fertility While Breastfeeding

I'm curious about conceiving while still nursing. We have an almost 12 month old, and have been trying for the past three months to get pregnant again. I have had regular cycles for me (about every 35 days) since November and am curious how long it took other moms the second time. I'm concerned that I may be having cycles without ovulation, and we really want another baby soon. Our daughter still nurses 2-4 times during the day, and maybe once at night, but there's a long stretch at night so I figure we should be fine. Does anyone have any advice? I keep hearing of all these accidental second pregnancies, but it isn't happening that way for us.

I was still breastfeeding my 7 month old when I got pregnant again. Nursing will not keep you from getting pregnant if your concerned about that. I would say your ovulating if you're having regular cycles. Three months isn't that long to try even though I'm sure it seems like forever for you if you're trying to get pregnant again. But really I'd say keep trying and give it more time before you start to worry.
