Thanks ladies... my appointment is on tuesday.. i ll see what measurements she ll give :)
For example if she measured your bump at 28 weeks.and it measured 32. Or even a few weeks small or something then you'd get reffered for scan. please don't worry yourself I'm sure everything is fine.
I was the same!! I looked like I literally stopped growing at 20 weeks, even between 20-30 weeks I didn't change much as far as bump goes, but my fundal height has always measured spot on, so I was concerned she wasn't growing correctly. I got a regular growth U/S last week at 34w, and my little girl is measuring 6lbs 4ozs and she's supposed to be about 5, so don't worry unless your fundal height is measuring way off, your just hiding it well! :)
I have to get growth scans because I'm a high risk pregnancy. But my bump was measuring 37.5 weeks at 38 weeks which is fine. And at ny last scan baby was estimated average so they aren't concerned. now 39 weeks +1 and having my final scan in two days
If she measures ur belly and puts it on the growth chart u can see babies size going up and up.... mine is too close to the top line for my comfort lol (top line is the bigger size estimate) however they are just estimates from ur 20w scan. I asked my midwife to explain it to me, she did but being pregnant ive forgotten lol ur midwife would be sending u for scans if she was concerned but she is there to answer ur questions hun so ask away x
They can measure your bump. If you are measuring the right size for the gestation they won't be concerned. They can't estimate size of baby only a scan can do that, and like I said even they aren't very accurate. They told me my daughter would be at least 8lbs and birth and she was only 6lb 6 and a half. honestly don't worry.
This will be second fundal measurement appointment... I have gained alot of weight but mostly on hips etc... I thought she can give me roughly estimate if i ask... My appointment came after 9weeks last time...
I only get growth scans because I'm.gestational diabetic. Midwife will measure your bump and if concerned she will reffer you for a scan. If she hasn't then take it as a positive that you're fine. Don't panic. Scans are the only way to roughly size the baby and even then aren't very accurate. It's a good thing you havent been reffered trust me
They are normally estimates wt they give u if u measure smaller or bigger u will gt a growth scan
