As far as TTC- it will take time to regulate and figure out how long your cycles are (which is important to help you narrow down your fertile window). I use the CM method for determining ovulation (I didn't have ANY CM for almost the whole year I was TTC recently, which is how I knew something was wrong with my body but once I did start ovulating again and getting EWCM I got pregnant the first try, every time).
Please let me know if you have any other questions or need help.
There must be 21 days since the last time you had bleeding to even consider it AF because the proper chain of hormones must take place in order for it to be considered menstruation. Otherwise you're still experiencing after-birth bleeding.
The first day of blood flow (not spotting) is considered the first day of your cycle.
I bled for 5 weeks after giving birth....than it stopped for a few days. Than I started to bleed again a couple days later. I figured it was my period because it looked different than the prior bleeding and I was getting major cramps and headaches. It started off slow than picked up...so I would consider your first day when you spotted because when its heavy or not, it's there!
But you could always BD the entire week just to be sure. I can't believe your trying for a second baby, thats AWESOME!! Lots of baby dust girl and keep us all posted!!
And don't worry...it took my aunt FIVE years to get pregnant with her first, so she said she was going to start right away after her first because she thought it would take her another couple years. Well she got pregnant in 2 months! Same with her 3rd..got pregnant right away after her second. So just because the first time it took you a while, means nothing for the second. Good Luck girl! xoxo
By the way the lochia is not your AF. It's just all the junk coming out of your uterus.
well right after you have the baby you'll have a lot bleeding (vaginal discharge called lochia), but it's not your period. You will probably have to wear sanitary napkin for about 6 to 8 weeks.
Then depending on whether or not you breast feed and how much you breast feed your cycle may further be delayed.
In general if you don't nurse after the baby is born, you may get your period back in about 3 months, maybe 2 but that's really pushing it.
I will definetely keep you posted.....it just happened to be dead in the middle of my cycle...which is when I normally ovulate...that would be amazing..Dh thinks its going to take us another three years to conceive (it took us that long for our first!)
Thanks.....I figured I should consider the first day of actually having something...spotting or not..so I counted my first spotting day! Looks like we may have planned our day perfect.....
The first day. I had my first PP AF in October I think. I had TJ in Mid- August
Yea..I had spotting for like 2 days...and then had a full period for the following 6....so I counted the spotting as the start...because my after delivery bleeding had stopped almost 2 weeks prior...hoping we timed things right!!
I always count the spotting as the first day because in my case it usually starts a few hours later. But sometimes it just starts right away without warning. I'm not sure if everybody does that, but that's just how I count it. Good luck! and you are not crazy for wanting them so close together! There are quite a few women on here having babies close together. My son and this baby will be 18 months apart and I think it will be great for them! =)
