First Trimester Intercourse

Hey everyone! I wanted to get your opinion on this subject. I am almost 10 weeks along and the doctor told me that my husband and I should not have sex until further notice. I was having some spotting in the beginning and now that has subsided. I know its just for the sake of she doesn't want anything pushing on my cervix. Well my questions are...Has your doctor ever told you this? What do you think about it?

When I spotted and bled during my first pregnancy, the doctor advised us not to, so we did not.  Definitely stick with what they say.  If the situation improves, they may give you an all clear to go ahead as normal later on.

I would totally do as they say......I was 9 weeks when I M/C'd and hadn't had sex b/c I was afraid........I wouldn't risk it esp. if they are telling you not to.

Personally my doctor has never told me this but if my doc did I would adhere to it.  Becuase you have had spotting she is probably considering you at higher risk for miscarraige and intercourse could contribute.  If I were you I would wait until your doc gives the all clear.  Possibly in the second trimester.
