CT and Xray Done When I didn't know i was pregnant

I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and i had a ct scan and xrays of my shoulder area when i was about 2 or 3 weeks pregnant. The ct scan injected dye and went down my whole body. Im very scared that my baby is going to have deformities and my ob appt isnt for 2 more weeks. What are the chances? Im very worried.

You should be fine you were early enough that the baby more than likely wasn't even implanted. So it shouldn't have absorbed the radiation. You can talk to your doctor about but if there were abnormalities at that stage you more than likely never would've gotten pregnant. I had a CT less than 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant that is what my doctor told me and that I shouldn't worry.

sorry I meant to say call your doctor about it, so you don't have to wait until your appointment. I think everything will be OK!

CT scans are not safe while pregnant unless there is a desperate need to do it... (lots of radiation) BUT since it was your shoulder and not your abdomen there is a chance everything is just fine. I'd ask my doctor about it and try not to worry too much :-)

If you were 2 weeks, then you were just ovulating and should be okay. I'm not sure about the CT scan but I do know its dangerous to be pregnant when you get the dye. I had to sign a few wavers back in Oct for my CT scan stating I wasn't pregnant. But, I don't know why. I'm sorry I can't be of more help and wish you the best

I'm not sure about the ct scan but the x-rays should be fine I had to hold my daughter down for her x-rays at 5 weeks pregnant without protection and my baby is developing fine. My object told me that at that early it would be fine.
