First ultrasound

So I got the date for my very first ultrasound jan 29th and my god it seems years away lol I am super nervous to even go with it being almost 3 weeks away as my sister daughter son and hubby all want to come I'm beyond terrified they won't find a h/b my next dr apt is the 14th I'll be about 7-8 weeks as I'm not sure of my exact due date my dr says August 30th but I think with my irregular periods I may be less pregnant then she's thinking but anyways my question is . Is there any way of her checking the babies viability at my next appointment without ultrasound or hcg numbers as I only have bloodwork for one time and I went today. We will go over all my tests but my hcg numbers will be a week old by then so not very reliable

The baby's heart starts beating at 6 weeks, so by 7 weeks they can USUALLY hear it.  I know how you feel, I had a miscarriage in 2011 and I was SUPER nervous about my first ultrasound this time around.  I am sure everything will be just fine for you though!

I did too lol. Also if they thought your hcg was low from your blood work they will call before your appt.

They MAY be able to hear the heartbeat at your appt. but it will depend on baby's position, if your uterus is tipped, extra belly chub. I couldn't hear mine this time until 12 weeks but sometimes they get it sooner. Other than that I can't think of a way.
