Flu shot

I am 35 weeks and my dr told me I need to get a flu shot. I'm not sure if I want to or not. Any advice? Yes or no?

I'm 20 never got the flu shot and I never will my mom gets violently ill when she gets one. The last time she got one the figured out that is what was causing her symptoms that landed her in the hospital. So I personally would never get one but it's truly a personal choice lol.

I have never gotten it before and my mom never let us get vaccines unless they were required for school or have been around a long time so of course she doesn't agree but I just didn't want to get it and wind up getting sick or it hurting my baby. But I am now sick from my brother coughing all over the place and not covering his mouth or washing his hands so I think it would be a good idea to get it so the baby doesn't get sick when he gets here

I'm 35 weeks as well and I haven't gotten the flu shot, My Dr. hasn't even said anything to me about it. I didn't get one with my first pregnancy 6 years ago and I was due in January with him. Since my Dr. hasn't pushed it on me I probably won't get it. I have been going back and forth on this subject myself. I don't think it helped me when I researched the negatives on it during pregnancy. The last 3 years I have gotten the shot but I am a weirdo when it comes to receiving things I'm unsure of while I have a growing fetus inside me.

I didn't get it. I've never gotten any flu shots pregnant or not. That's just my preferance though. Good luck! :)

I got it my work required it. Just make sure you don't get the nasal spray it contains the live virus. Also I read and doctor told me it keeps the baby protected for up to 6 months after birth

I got mine just because it would really suck to get the flu while pregnant. I had never had one before and I'm not planning on getting another one after having my baby cause I'm young and my immune system is strong

I had to get one and also a tetanus shot so the baby wouldn't have what is known as the whooping cough because it can be harmful to your baby
