A balanced diet is perfrctly fine. Not necessarily just a doft food diet. Example of my typical menu while breastfeeding is: a fruit, oatmeal, toast for breakfast. A glass of apple juice, turkey cheese samdwich on whole grain bread, and maybe some chips for lunch. A snack around 3 which is like pb and crackers. For dinner, a veggie with some type of meat. Ive sucessfully breastfed 2 babies so far sticking to well balanced diet. Lots of water is key too. Whole grains are best. I try to avoid too much junk food but its not going to hurt you to enjoy a candy bar or a guilty pleasure snack every once in a while :)
