Overreacting..

So I have a 2 year old yorkie who's pretty hyper all the time and I will be giving birth in September. I love dogs and am currently trying to start a career in working with them. I'm also looking to invest in a second dog real soon. Everyone around me have been super annoying lately because they will not shut up about how uncleanliness it is to be around so many dogs and have a newborn. And that my baby will be more prone to getting sick because of me having dogs in the house and I just wanna know if everyone's just overreacting or if they're right and I should just put all this dog stuff on hold for a while??

Every single kid in my family was born with dogs around! We had 6 when I was a baby! People don't just give up their pets cause they have a kid! Tell tem to stick it! Lol

You should continue on with the dog stuff. Those people are overreacting. I think it is nice for a newborn to grow up with a dog because I feel it makes the child more sensitive to other types of life. And if you take care of the dogs and yourself then there is a very small chance that anything bad will happen.

It is completely fine to have the baby around the dog. When I was a newborn my mom and dad had 8 dogs and 3 of the dogs were inside dogs and I'm perfectly fine. We currently have 4 dogs that stay inside the house. It's good for the baby's immune system just make sure to keep things clean like the hair the dog will shed. It's totally fine for the dog to be inside and around the baby

Plenty of people have dogs and babies. People are over reacting.
