Awww, the shot makes you gain weight? :/ I was going to get it. I wasn't on the pill when I got pregnant. I tried taking it before it even happened, but I was tired of bleeding, well, spotting, not being on my period.

I did love the fact that it regulated my period and could even skip.it if I felt like not having one that month. Lol ... the only reason I don't want to go back on it is bc I got pregnant while on it, and it actually ages your cervix which is something I just recently learned. But I did take it for about 10 years without any issues or unexpected pregnancies. Guess this little one just wanted to come no matter what. Lol

I personally didn't notice any side effects from the pill other than it regulating my period. But my sister was on it and it made her CRAZY. Lol no.one could stand to be around.d her so she switched methods pretty quickly.  it does work by messing with your hormones so for some women it can make them a little whacko. Lol ... as far as the iud and nuva ring, they don't mess with your hormones so there's nothing like that going on. Talk to your doctor and see what would be the best fit for you bc there are quite a few options out there. I heard the depo shot works great too but for some women it makes them gain weight really bad (which the pill can sometimes have that affect too).

I was on the pill when I got pregnant too, talk about a pleasant but very unexpected surprise, lol. But according to all my ultrasounds baby is very healthy and thriving. This go around I wanna try an IUD after I have my baby.
