For moms with cerclages

Ok so I've been having some sharp throbbing pains in my uterus and it does not feel like round ligament pains. My boyfriend was fingering me and said he felt my cervix and it was really open. What made your doctor realize you needed a cerclage and did you experience anything I did?

They can tell when you go in for an ultrasound. They can see it.

Due to a pretty term labor and miscarriage I had to have one I'm now 28 weeks thanks to having the cerclage. Usually If you have a short or incompetent cervix doctor will recommend. With my last two pregnancies my membrane's ruptured causing me to go into labor.

It's a surgery where they pretty much sew up your cervix to prevent early labor.

Every time I get pregnant I have to get a cervical cerclage because I have a short cervix. If you have a short cervix they should recommend a cervical cerclage.
