My mother's doctor told her to slow down with eating alot of peanut buttet when she was pregnant with me because there was too much protein in her urine and that it could lead her to have gestational diabetes

You shouldn't eat liver or ripend soft cheeses such as brie or stilton, chilli is fine as long as you can tolerate it x

I never heard of that actually I'm GD & my dietician encourage me to eat peanut butter because it's full of protein & if u have high sugar the protein will grab it & put it in the right place where supposed to be:)
Anyway u should stay away from raw fish, raw meat, Caffeine (not much). Spicy can give u heartburn. I can't think of anything else lol

No raw fish or meat. Your steak should at least be medium well. And stay away from big fish like tuna or sword fish due to the mercury level. Canned tuna is ok. Most seafood once a week is fine. Limited amount of coffee and tea is ok too. Spicy food as long as it sit well in your stomach. Otherwise it's business as usually but too much of anything could cause an issue in your stomach of course. Also take prenatal vitamin if you can.

Chili should be ok.  Just watch out in case of indigestion esp. if the chili is spicy.  You should just avoid any raw or undercooked meat as well as not eating a lot of fish (due to mercury in the fish).  I did hear a theory about watching how much peanut butter you eat as well but I ate it with DD and she's fine.
