I'm 38+6 weeks and in a lot of pain!! Help!!

I haven't posted in here for sooo long omg! I lost my password and I never bothered to recover it but that's besides the point. Ok ladies, here's the deal. My gyno on my last appointment didn't check to see if I was dilated, didn't even measure my belly and was super catty towards me trying to rush me out. She is on vacation all next week and I don't get to see her until 3 DAYS after my freaking due date. I have been having period like cramps (light but they still hurt) and sharp stabbing, shooting pains in my vagina when the baby moves a ton. It's so bad sometimes that I can't speak or walk. I lay there in agony and bawl my eyes out. Am I going to go into labor soon? I haven't lost my mucus plug, no bloody show and obviously my water hasn't broken. But I have no idea what's going on down there so I'm a little scared. What do you guys think/suggest?

It's totally true. I want to make it in time for me to get the epidural. If its too late, a doctor or a nurse will die. I will STRANGLE someone. It's ridiculous! I have a firm grip even though my hands are swollen!!!!!

I'd go to the hospital, my doc says the same thing about going only if you can't walk/talk through contractions but I walked and talked through all my contractions with my first child, and I was unmedicated. We have to trust our own bodies BC everyone is different

Oh dear god! What has the world come to?! I'm convinced to not go to the hospital until my water breaks because I don't want the doctors and nurses being mad at me. I've already been there like 4 times!! LOOL

My doctor tells me the same thing, not to come to the hospital unless I'm having horrible contractions that take my breath away and even if that happens he told me to take a warm bath and see if that helps and if that doesn't help then I need to lay down for a bit to see if that will make them go away and I live an hour from the hospital! I think its crazy!

That's just crazy! Try taking a warm bath and drink water and laying down to see if that helps.

Ohhh man! I called L&D at the hospital I'm supposed to deliver at and asked them if I should go and they said not unless I can't talk or walk because of just my CONTRACTIONS alone. Not the cervix feeling shooting stabbing pain cause I think that's just the bang on my cervix hitting a nerve but if DOES send my breathless that I can't talk or walk but it's not contractions, I don't think.
