Ftm, first ultrasound?

Ok So I Am 11+4w And I Have My First Ultrasound Tomorrow. I Was Just Wondering Are First Ultrasounds Always transvaginal? When Do You Get To Abdominal Ultrasounds? My Bf Wants To Go But I Told Him It MIght Be A Vaginal One And I Didn't Know If Guys Went To Those Ones? Im Sorry If This Is StupiD, Im New To This And Thought I Would try To Get Some Insight From You Ladies. Thanx :)

I have a vaginal at 9 weeks.... you should have an abdominal one:) guys can be in for vaginal ones, my husband was woth me during mine

They should be able to see via abdomen no problems at all if you're that far on! I had a vaginal scan at 8 weeks, partners can be there :)

At 11 she told me we were going to try the abdominal and if she couldn't see it she would do the vaginal..but she saw it with the abdominal. I would let your bf go with you...whether its vaginal or not :)

You shouldn't have a vaginal one this far along I had one but I was only 6wks and my husband went I would bring him along its a beautiful moment and you will totally want to share we were lucky and got to hear the heartbeat and the look on my husbands face was such an amazing moment to me!! He won't miss any appointments for any reason ( his words lol) good luck and congrats!!!!

I was 7 weeks and got an abdominal ultrasound.  I've never had a vaginal one.
