I also had GD when I was prego. I survived on omelettes with various fillings and my 1 favorite thing was buffalo wings lol. Kept my sugars in check but i was taking a chance on the sodium. You have to find something that you like where you can get your fill but won't spike your sugar. Since hormones are highest in morning and tend to drop at night that's when you'll be able to eat Lil more

Right now its solely by diet, and it stays fine if I eat just meat with a tiny amount of veggies or bread, I can eat a little nuts and berries, but not enough to feel full or satisfied most times.
@Star3789 are you on any type of insulin or pills for your GD? Or are you solely trying to control by diet

I'm not allowed to eat beans as they r too high in carbs :/ I would love to eat beans lol. Popcorn spikes my sugar belive it or not, ***** cuz I love it. I also have to be careful of the carbs in nuts! And I'm only 24 weeks and dr says its going to keep getting worse til I have the baby.
When buying bread yes whole grain but you need to look on how many carbs per slice. That's usually 1 piece of bread in the morning. Protein comes in many forms such as cheeses, eggs, beans, nuts. Those are good snack ideas. You can even do popcorn
Spaghetti is super high in carbs... Its actually probably one of the worst things you could eat when watching carbs.
I dont know if its low on carbs but its not meat and I want some so j thought about it haha
Lol I never did eat crap but I can't even eat whole grain bread, and too many veggies=too many carbs and I'm limited on what veggies I can have, but I have to have protien with every meal and snack hence I have to eat meat alll the time :/
Meats, chicken, pork, fish, tofu. Salads and veggies some fruit. Google diabetic menu and see what pop's up. You can eat many things just not crap anymore lol
Not sure why you wouldn't just not eat meat if you're sick of it? Veggies, veggies, and more veggies. Google vegetarian meals, might help give you some alternative ideas.
